Had a poor couple of days in that I have really been struggling with ill health and also there has been no interactions of any kind on my posts or website.

This is where discouragement can really set in, it is the opportunity to give up. There is a literal spiritual ‘pressure’ that can cause us to stumble and fall. This has been very real to me these past few days, and yet I have found the strength to continue based on the following in 1 Timothy chapter 1, it says:

“This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck..”

You see I know that God has called me to create art in His Name, it is this ‘prophecy’ in which I fight the good fight and do not become shipwrecked. Yes, I will have times when I seriously consider giving up, but when God has spoken prophetically into your life, it is those living words that keep your faith and enable you to fight against discouragement.

I encourage you to keep ahold of any word that He has spoken to you regarding your calling, and if you have forgotten then ask the Holy Spirit to remind you of them, after all, Jesus said “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”

In these days we need to know our calling, our purpose in The Lord. Get around people in your church who are walking in the prophetic, esteem the words spoken to you, let freedom reign through His Word in your spirit.
